What You'll Do
The Education Committee brings Red Hook’s history to life by creating engaging, educational experiences for students, families, and lifelong learners. We work closely with local schools, the library, and homeschool groups to connect the community with our shared past. Key responsibilities include:
✅ School & Library Collaboration – Partnering with teachers and librarians to develop programs and class visits
✅ Homeschool Outreach – Creating flexible, hands-on activities and lessons for homeschool families
✅ Educational Program Development – Designing field trips, workshops, and special events that make history fun and meaningful
✅ Curriculum Support – Helping align programs with learning standards and community interests
What We're Working on Now
📚 Planning school visits and educational programs for the spring and fall
🏛️ Strengthening connections with homeschool groups and local educators
🎨 Creating interactive experiences for students and families
Time Commitment
🕒 Monthly meetings + occasional event support or project work. Flexible roles to fit your schedule and interests!
