What is a Cemetery Crawl?

This event is both a seasonal scavenger hunt and a year-round, self-guided tour of six Red Hook cemeteries that offers highlights of the lives of interesting individuals and their memorials. All you need is your smartphone and some good weather and you’ve got a lovely way to spend time enjoying local history.

A self-guided tour of 6 cemeteries - Explore the interactive map. Click on a pin and you can both read AND hear a recording of the story associated with that memorial. You can also explore the cemetery directory, download pdf files and read about each memorial. Available all year round.

A scavenger hunt - A new scavenger hunt will be available on September 14, 2024. Everyone who participates will get a prize and chances to win 1 of 4 grand prize baskets!
